Description

In this episode, Jewelene Meacham speaks with Dawn Galagan-Rodriguez, MSN, RN.

We discuss the importance of gut health and how we can be conscious about the things we allow in our environment that affect our overall health. The microbiome is the bacterial population that we have living in us and on us. These bacteria provide us with a ton of functions that we could not live without.

Dawn started her education and first career with a Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology and Genetics from the University of Wisconsin, where she later obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In nursing, she worked in transplant, allergy & asthma clinical studies, general medical surgical with telemetry, and neurology & stroke units. She later received a Master of Science in Nursing Education and was a clinical nursing instructor as well. She drew on all those experiences in her role as a Nurse Coach where she got to be with her clients, truly present, to listen deeply, then teach vital information for new habit formation, and finally walk alongside them to provide guidance and accountability in their journey back to renewed health.
